“A comedian has a better grasp of Christianity than most Christians.” Why not say a Christian who is a comedian has a better grasp of Christianity than most Christians? Stephen Colbert is Catholic. Yes, there are people out there who are religious without acting like the Religious Right in America. And just because someone is religious doesn’t mean they can’t be funny.
